Verteillac has everything you need for a magical French holiday. A boulangerie for your daily fix of crossiant and french bread, a Charcuterie for all that fresh local meat, three restaurants, three bars, a boules (petanque) court, sports  arena and for those who love a bargain there is a car boot sale every 1st Sunday of the month when the whole village shuts down and becomes one almighty bargain hunters dream! There is also a food market and a communal swimming pool, so you really could not ask for more from a French country village.

You can literally buy anything in the store from wine/food to lawnmowers/chainsaws to beds/carpets. Everything! The store is like Dr. Who's Tardis: it goes on and on and on. Don't believe us? Just go explore it and see what you can find.

The village Brocante simply has to be seen to be believed. If the village shop is  a modern day Aladdin's Cave then the Brocante surely is a living breathing and truly authentic Aladdin's Cave if there ever was one! This is a car boot sale goers dream. A shop like no other. So why don't you go and find yourself an old oil lamp and take it home to always remember your holiday by and if you dare, give it a rub and make that wish come true... to come back to Le Chat Blanc again next year :-)
